Today was a fairly good day, it's not that I woke up cranky, it's more like since everyone in my family was sure that I had something yesterday that was the topic of the morning, and so that got me in a foul mood again... I mean, what is it with people and their "what's up?s".
At some point we managed to make a decent plan with all the people who wanted to attend the comictlan today, and off we went. We picked Erik up and Eve, then Mariel... and I think that was it. The ride on the car was fun, as soon as I got out of the house and started talking with this people about something other than my feelings I started feeling better, go figure.
Comictlan sucks, and it gets worse every year. The one good thing is that I bought this compilation of mexican comics that was sponsored by Fonca/Conaculta... but that's pretty much it. Some toys and comics, whatever. Lots of girls, but most of them ugly to be honest... He he he... Good times though.
After some hours of heavy sweating, barganing (it's amazing how you can always bargain betting on the flip of a coin... thank God I always win those), and money spending, we headed back to take Erik home, and then to Plaza Galerias, where we spent the rest of the day. I had the most sweat stained t-shirt you have ever seen, and being as selfconcious as I was I just had to go get a shirt somewhere to be ok. I got a decent one at a good price, and then Blanco, Hector and I started trying to get rid of Victor and Mariel... mostly to allow them to be alone, but somehow victor just didn't get it and kept following us around... that guy man, sometimes...
I don't know if we managed to lose them, or at some point they got it, but somehow we got to be alone and kept fooling around the mall. We kept doing silly things and laughing like crazy, literally. One of those things was when we went to this huge pet store, they have a large area were kids can enter and play with little toys and exotic animals, pet them and whatnot, and some moms are there too. Blanco said "hey!, those animals are very weird", talking about the actual persons that were in there. At that point I approached, looked at them just as if they were animals, and then said out loud -Hey, do you think that if I buy her the glasses are included?, almost imediatly a guy, who was standing right besides me, gave me a VERY mean look (of course, he was the husband) Needless to say I walked out of there rather fast, and almost bursting into a fit of laughter.
Once I got out, and when Blanco said "did you noticed that the husband of that woman you talked about buying was right next to you?", I did burst in laughing... oh man...
The rest of the day went like that... and then at home I saw big fish... good times.
That's it for a good saturday... :-D
** cheers
ps. There comes a point when any reasonable man will swallow his pride and admit he made a mistake. The truth is... I was never a reasonable man. Man, will that movie always make me cry?... sure it just did now. [again]
